Lead Technical Architect - Martech Architecture

Overview

This leadership role involves spearheading IT application architecture and solution design specifically for the marketing technology (Martech) domain. The position requires creating strategic architectural plans, prioritizing project efforts, supporting budgeting processes, and setting design and development standards. Collaborating closely with stakeholders ensures rigorous assessment of functional and non-functional requirements, risk management, and delivering timely, high-quality solutions within budget. Driving digital innovation and enhancing business automation through adoption of avant-garde technologies forms a key part of this role, contributing significantly to the organization's evolving digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a 2 to 3-year Martech architectural roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
• Design and deploy scalable, secure, cloud-native architectures supporting personalization, customer data platforms, campaign management, and marketing automation.
• Lead technical decision-making processes, advocating for best practices including microservices architectures, API-driven integrations, and event-driven systems.
• Develop integration strategies utilizing APIs, ETL processes, and data streaming to harmonize diverse platforms and ensure clean, consistent, actionable data flows across the Martech ecosystem.
• Provide primary technical counsel on Martech solutions, mentor junior architects and engineers to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and business units to translate requirements into effective technical solutions fostering innovation.
• Identify and act on opportunities for innovation, optimization, performance enhancement, and the introduction of emerging Martech technologies to deliver tangible business value.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of experience architecting and managing Ecommerce or Digital Marketing solutions for highly scalable and available systems.
• Minimum 5 years in product strategy, enterprise architecture, or leadership roles specifically in Martech.
• Proven expertise with Adobe Martech suite including AEP/CDP, AJO, CJA, and Campaign Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of marketing technology landscape, focusing on data management and unified customer profiles.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager, AEM Cloud Services, Adobe Assets, and Dynamic Media.
• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles and financial operations management (FinOps).
• Awareness of data governance, privacy regulations, and security best practices.
• Thorough understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud and their architectures.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, Web Services, web application frameworks, Java/JEE, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with web caching technologies like Akamai.
• Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, technology opportunity identification, and delivering innovative solutions.
