Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative software solutions while solving technical challenges by thinking beyond typical approaches.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging of work produced by teammates.
• Champion the team’s adoption of approved enterprise AI-assisted software engineering practices to enhance code quality, speed of delivery, and operational efficiency. This includes AI-assisted code review, refactoring, testing acceleration, and root cause analysis, while establishing consistent standards such as secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing, and fostering reuse of effective patterns.
• Utilize software development lifecycle tools and enterprise AI-driven automation tools to increase automation value.
• Proactively identify and automate fixes for recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
• Lead technical evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to critically assess architecture, credentials, and integration feasibility within existing systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with formal training or certification in software engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise in system design, application development, software testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Proven leadership in leveraging authorized AI-assisted development tools across coding, review, testing, and debugging phases, alongside guiding team adherence to validate AI outputs for performance, accuracy, and security.
• Deep understanding of responsible AI integration in software workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of AI inputs and outputs, and compliance with resilience and security standards, as well as experience mentoring engineers on compliant AI adoption.
• Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong grasp of agile delivery frameworks such as Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Detailed familiarity with IT systems and operations within the financial services sector.
• Practical experience with cloud-native application development.
