Lead Software Engineer - .NET with Azure, React and AI Native Development

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to design and implement innovative full-stack software solutions using .NET, Azure, and React frameworks. This role involves leading a team, integrating advanced AI-native development approaches, and delivering high-quality, scalable applications in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable full-stack applications leveraging .NET, Azure cloud services, and React.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of features from estimation, development, testing, through deployment.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate functional needs into detailed technical specifications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Incorporate AI-native methodologies within software development processes.
• Build intelligent, agentic solutions utilizing Microsoft AI technologies.
• Develop and maintain backend services with a strong emphasis on SQL database solutions.
• Use Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Functions and Durable Functions to construct cloud-native platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years’ professional experience in full-stack development with strong command over .NET, Azure, and React.
• Proven expertise in backend programming and SQL database management.
• Experienced in solution architecture and planning comprehensive technical designs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage effective communication with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Functions and Durable Functions.
• Familiar with AI software development lifecycle practices and agentic solution implementation using Microsoft AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of insurance industry processes, especially from submission to policy issuance covering quoting and binding.
• Experience with specialized insurance products in Excess lines including Excess Casualty, Professional Liability, Medical Liability, Products, and Contractors.
• Background knowledge in actuarial reserving methodologies.
