Role Overview
The Lead Software Engineer will spearhead complex and impactful technological initiatives, often with company-wide influence. This role involves setting standards and best practices for engineering sophisticated technology solutions across disciplines, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software projects. The engineer will critically assess large-scale tech solutions aligned with both tactical and strategic business goals, making informed decisions to shape enterprise-wide best practices and standards based on industry trends and emerging technologies. This position demands collaboration with senior technical experts and external leaders to resolve intricate technical challenges and achieve organizational objectives. Leadership responsibilities include project oversight, team guidance, and mentoring peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-complexity technology programs impacting broad organizational units.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards and scalable best practices for technology solutions.
- Create, test, debug, and document software components and systems.
- Evaluate extensive technology solutions within the enterprise to support strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Drive and influence technology teams towards meeting deliverables and embracing innovative technology strategies.
- Partner with senior leadership, technology experts, and industry groups to address complex technical issues.
- Lead teams, manage projects, and act as a mentor to engineering staff.
Technical Expertise Required
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework.
- Advanced knowledge in designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with the Saviynt SaaS platform for Identity Governance Administration (IGA), including modules like Access Requests, Role Management, Segregation of Duties (SoD), Certifications, and Lifecycle Management.
- Expertise in enterprise Identity Lifecycle Management covering Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes.
- Integration experience using standard authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM.
- Familiarity with system integration involving Active Directory, Entra ID, Workday, ServiceNow, CyberArk, SAP, and customized applications.
- Understanding of identity data governance, compliance, and audit readiness for access controls.
- Capability to perform performance tuning and scalability enhancements for identity management platforms and associated integrations.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and messaging frameworks supporting enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud Platform and SaaS integrations.
Job Expectations and Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Identity Access Management, backend development, or application integration.
- Demonstrated leadership in designing and deploying enterprise-scale IGA solutions.
- Proven skill in building and managing automated access provisioning, deprovisioning, and governance workflows.
- Strong programming background with continuous mentorship and technical leadership abilities.
- Excellent collaboration skills with IAM, Security, HR, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
