Lead Planning Engineer

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to contribute to a significant Buildings and Infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and executing effective planning activities including development of Work Breakdown Structure, reviewing the master schedule, creating manpower histograms, cost loading, and managing progress measurement systems with coordination.
• Preparing detailed tabular and graphical reports comparing baseline targets with actual earned values and forecasting future project status.
• Generating comprehensive project status updates and managing project dashboards.
• Collaborating closely with Project Management teams to support their efforts and tracking performance to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
• Conducting reviews of Time Extension Claims, performing forensic schedule analyses, risk evaluations, and promoting continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in planning and project control roles, complemented by valid MMUP accreditation.
• Demonstrated expertise with Primavera scheduling software, supported by Primavera Planner Professional certification.
• Good understanding and practical use of PMBOK Revision 5 guidelines; PMI registration is advantageous.
• Familiarity with PMBOK Revision 6 is desirable.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented and innovative environment.
• A driven self-starter with natural leadership qualities and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
