About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior/Lead Commercial Electrical Estimator with over a decade of experience specifically in commercial electrical construction, emphasizing tenant improvement projects. This position offers an excellent chance to take full ownership of the estimating function, innovating beyond standard procedures.

Key Duties

• Take charge of the entire estimating process for commercial electrical construction projects.
• Prepare precise bids, estimates, and proposals focused on commercial tenant and landlord improvements.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, work scopes, and requirements carefully.
• Spot potential risks, inconsistencies, and cost concerns early and communicate these insights effectively.
• Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, onsite teams, and senior company leadership.
• Enhance estimating methods, tools, databases, and workflows continually.
• Assess and adopt innovative estimating software, technology, and AI tools to boost accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor projects from start to finish, comparing estimated and actual costs to improve financial performance.
• Utilize historical project data to refine future estimates and improve outcomes.
• Establish best practices in estimating and elevate team performance.
• Offer mentorship and support to junior team members.
• Work in close partnership with project management and field operations to ensure smooth transitions from estimate through project completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in commercial electrical construction.
• Extensive experience with commercial tenant improvement projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in estimating commercial electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, materials, labor, and cost factors.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Capacity to proactively identify risks and communicate them clearly.
• Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience utilizing estimating software and related digital technologies.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging technology, automation, and AI in estimating.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership over processes and outcomes.
• Leadership qualities with experience guiding and developing team members.
