Lead Data Scientist

Overview

The role involves working within an international team focused on developing advanced E-Commerce measurement products, particularly targeting Western European markets as part of the recent Fox Intelligence acquisition. The position emphasizes creating and enhancing measurement methodologies to better understand online consumer shopping behavior.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage Fox Intelligence's data assets to deliver superior E-Commerce measurement solutions tailored for Western Europe, integrating various internal and external benchmarking datasets as weighting references.
• Apply weighting and projection techniques on consumer-originated data, assessing the accuracy and effectiveness against benchmark truth sets and key algorithm performance indicators.
• Critically review existing E-Commerce measurement methods to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Implement methodological enhancements to data collection approaches to elevate data quality from the client's viewpoint.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive codebases and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer to Data Science, Technical, and Operations teams locally.
• Develop prototypes and support pilot initiatives to foster innovation within the measurement domain.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
• Has a minimum of five years experience programming in advanced languages such as Python or R.
• Proficient in SQL, adept at creating queries and managing large-scale databases.
• Strong foundation in statistics and logical reasoning with experience in trend analysis, multivariate statistics (both parametric and non-parametric), sampling methodologies, bias mitigation, indirect estimation, data aggregation, weighting and projection algorithms, and model validation processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Business-oriented mindset with an ability to align client requirements with business goals.
• Capable of juggling multiple projects effectively.
• Fluency in French, German, or Italian is an advantageous skill.
