Key Responsibilities

• Develop regression and forecasting models that aid in demand and lead time prediction.
• Engage in feature engineering, model selection, and tuning hyperparameters for improved model performance.
• Apply statistical methodologies including analysis and hypothesis testing to validate models.
• Collaborate with business units to interpret problems and craft machine learning solutions.
• Deploy machine learning models and maintain their performance through ongoing monitoring.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly via dashboards and presentations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 4 and 6 years experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficient understanding of regression techniques, time-series forecasting, and predictive modeling.
• Solid foundation in statistics, probability theory, and experimental design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Python programming, particularly using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with advanced gradient boosting frameworks like XGBoost or LightGBM.
• Experience working with SQL databases and Snowflake platform.
• Knowledge of cloud machine learning platforms such as AWS SageMaker is advantageous.
