Role Purpose

The Lead Contract Administrator will oversee the strategic and operational contract management activities across NMDPL’s urban redevelopment and infrastructure projects. The role involves day-to-day contract administration, aiding claims preparation, risk identification, coordination among diverse stakeholders, timely documentation, dispute resolution assistance, and fostering contract compliance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts throughout their entire lifecycle including issuance, tracking, renewals, and compliance checks.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing correspondence like contract letters and meeting minutes with EPC contractors and vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date contract records in centralized systems.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Legal, and Site teams to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Prepare monthly contract status reports for leadership review.
  • Support preparation and analysis of claims, Extension of Time (EoT) requests, variation proposals, and change orders.
  • Gather evidence and documentation required for supporting or defending contractual claims.
  • Track deadlines and notify teams for timely submission of contractual notices.
  • Assist in preparing statements and responses for disputes or arbitration proceedings.
  • Identify risks in contract implementation and flag deviations or non-compliance.
  • Assist in bid document due diligence and coordinate inputs internally.
  • Ensure milestone compliance for all contract deliverables in assigned projects.
  • Serve as the central contact for site-level contract issues and coordinate resolution with corporate teams.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams for integrated contract management.
  • Facilitate periodic reviews with project teams to reinforce contract adherence.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and internal trainings related to contract administration and dispute management.
  • Ensure contractual documentation is audit-ready with compliance to quality and safety standards.

Stakeholders

Internal: Projects, Design, Engineering, PMO, Finance and Accounts, Safety, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, Architects.
External: Vendors, Contractors, Consultants.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in contract administration within construction, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
  • Experience handling large-scale EPC contracts, government contracts, or Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract management tools and reporting systems.
