Team and Role Overview
The Data Solutions team champions the expansion of FactSet’s DataFeed off-platform products, facilitating clients' data usage with proprietary and industry-standard delivery methods. This position, based in APAC, demands a strong grasp of regional regulatory, cultural, and linguistic nuances to customize project deliveries and manage impactful engagements across multiple nations.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison for client-facing projects involving implementation, migrations, and upgrades.
- Choose and modify project management methodologies tailored to each project.
- Create comprehensive project plans in collaboration with experts, ensuring alignment with both internal and client timelines.
- Maintain project scope integrity and enforce change controls as project demands evolve.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks proactively for successful outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on project targets and business goals.
- Coordinate with sales, product, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure transparency and maintain accountability during project execution.
- Manage project status updates, summarizing progress and challenges for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate, document, and drive clarity in meetings with internal and external participants.
- Oversee budgets for time- and material-based engagements, keeping all parties informed.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to accurately track workstream progress.
- Design customized reports to present project metrics and insights visually.
- Develop and enhance process documentation continuously based on project learnings.
- Represent the Client Engagement Team internally and externally.
- Share best practices and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
Candidate Requirements
- A university degree in Data, Business, Technology, or closely related disciplines.
- Fluency in Japanese at a business level.
- At least nine years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects and enhancing processes.
- Strong enthusiasm for data, technology, and financial markets.
- Understanding of financial products, instruments, and metadata.
- Excellent organizational capabilities to juggle multiple projects and optimize efficiencies.
- Experience navigating financial institutions' organizational structures and tailoring communications for varied audiences.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to foster cooperative and productive relationships.
- Adaptability and skill in prioritizing several assignments simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in financial systems or financial sector knowledge.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Jira.
- Knowledge of Agile and hybrid project management methodologies.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
