Laundry Worker

Overview

As a Laundry Worker at Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) in Amarillo, TX, you will play a vital role in ensuring that linens and garments in a long-term care environment remain clean, organized, and readily accessible. This position supports HCSG's dedication to positively impacting the communities it serves by delivering high-quality linen services.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly wage is $11.50. Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing efficiently and hygienically.
• Operate laundry machinery safely while adhering to operational procedures.
• Keep accurate records of laundry tasks and promptly report maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Comply with infection control standards and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary work environment.
• Engage positively with residents, staff, and visitors, offering excellent customer service.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry work experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and effective communication skills with coworkers, administration, and leadership to complete daily assignments.
• Adhere strictly to COVID-19 vaccination policies set by the company.
• Physical capability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals.
• Follow oral and written instructions accurately and perform repetitive routine tasks consistently.
• Residency within the area's service region is mandatory.
