Laundry Worker

Overview

Responsibilities

• Gather, categorize, launder, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing efficiently and safely.
• Operate laundry machinery with care and caution to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Keep accurate records of laundry processes and promptly report any issues related to maintenance or safety to the supervisor.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Engage positively and professionally with residents, staff, and guests to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in laundry work is beneficial though not compulsory.
• Maintain a positive and communicative approach with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to accomplish daily responsibilities.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is mandatory.
• Physically able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull weights up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Capable of working around cleaning chemicals safely.
• Ability to comprehend and execute spoken or written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
• Must reside within the service area to be eligible.
