Role Overview
As a Laundry Attendant at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, situated in the vibrant heart of Downtown Dubai near landmarks such as The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, you will be pivotal in managing laundry operations aligned with hotel standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all laundry and dry-cleaning duties adhering strictly to hotel protocols and procedures.
- Follow established laundry flows and cycles for linens and uniforms carefully.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of various textiles and their respective care requirements.
- Operate laundry machines and equipment responsibly, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Handle and store chemicals safely by adhering to health and safety guidelines and correct formula usage.
- Report promptly any equipment malfunctions or damage, including issues related to linens and uniforms, to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage facilities.
- Properly manage lost and found items within the laundry department.
- Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks.
- Complete and follow daily checklists meticulously.
- Communicate guest complaints or comments immediately for resolution.
- Accurately maintain laundry logbooks and compile reports.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in spoken English for effective communication.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills.
