Job Role Overview

As a Laundry Attendant at Fairmont Ajman, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of linen quality that enhance guest satisfaction. The position involves managing the efficient collection, inspection, and distribution of linens, guest laundry, and staff uniforms, ensuring all tasks are carried out with precision and care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect, tally, and dispatch soiled linen, towels, and uniforms to the external laundry service.
• Receive and scrutinize incoming clean linen to verify quantities and uphold quality standards.
• Allocate cleaned linen and uniforms to the appropriate hotel departments while managing stock levels in storage areas.
• Oversee uniform room activities including issuing, receiving, labeling, and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage guest laundry and dry-cleaning requests by handling collection, tagging, tracking, and timely delivery.
• Keep detailed logs of all linen movements, guest laundry transactions, and uniform inventories.
• Immediately report missing, damaged, or stained items to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within linen and uniform storage areas.
• Collaborate with the outsourced laundry provider to address discrepancies or quality concerns.
• Provide support to the housekeeping team during busy periods as required.
• Adhere strictly to hotel safety, hygiene, and operational policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in hotel laundry services or housekeeping operations is preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of laundry procedures and fabric care essentials.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• High attention to detail with the capability to multitask effectively.
• Physical capability to repeatedly lift, push or pull heavy linen carts.
• Dependable, punctual, and customer service focused.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, bending, and lifting of linen bundles and trolleys.
• Capability to stand for extended periods of time.
