Job Overview
Join NHS Management, LLC as a Laundry Assistant in Wetumpka, AL, working full-time in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting. Your role as a critical member of the care team supports residents' dignity and wellbeing by ensuring their clothing and linens are clean, fresh, and properly handled, contributing to a comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Launder, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing and facility linens efficiently and accurately.
- Return apparel and linens to the correct resident or department promptly.
- Operate commercial laundry machines following safety and efficiency protocols.
- Keep the laundry area orderly and sanitized at all times.
- Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and proper laundry handling guidelines.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and nursing staff to address residents’ needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for all residents.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in English communication: speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Show compassion and respect toward elderly and disabled residents.
- Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.
