About the Role
The Laundry Aide at Regency at Troy plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and homelike atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors by providing comprehensive laundry services. All laundering activities are carried out in strict compliance with facility guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations to support an environment that promotes residents' well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash linens in line with departmental procedures and established cleaning schedules.
- Handle disposal of trash and waste materials, including biohazardous substances, following prescribed facility protocols to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere rigorously to all safety guidelines when working with cleaning chemicals and related substances.
- Demonstrate flexibility by taking on additional assignments and projects as required.
- Participate in cross-training within Housekeeping and provide assistance in that area when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate is required.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
