Job Overview
Take the lead in advancing the mechanical and electromechanical subsystems for Large Format Printers by collaborating intensively with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners to uphold quality and control costs in shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with GBU R&D and manufacturing partner factories to successfully deliver Large Format printer products for shipment to customers.
- Take ownership of printer product subsystems, ensuring engineering and manufacturing processes align with defined specifications and functionality.
- Address factory build challenges and escalations swiftly, focusing on product subsystem performance.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Engineering (CPE) initiatives to meet program timelines and business objectives.
- Engage in prototyping activities locally or at GBU sites, providing design-for-excellence (DFx) insights to facilitate smooth knowledge transfer between product and manufacturing processes.
- Lead change management efforts at manufacturing partner facilities to satisfy product and process engineering standards.
- Collaborate closely with GBU and support teams to resolve engineering challenges promptly.
- Respond effectively to after-market product issues and customer feedback to ensure satisfaction and drive continual improvement.
- Work together with Operations to enhance cost efficiency, quality benchmarks, and factory productivity.
- Oversee manufacturing partners to consistently achieve factory metrics and performance goals.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent competence.
- Bring 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrate urgency in meeting program schedules and deadlines.
- Display excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Have solid fundamentals in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and mechanical engineering principles.
- Electrical and electronic knowledge is advantageous.
- Be results-driven and adaptable, with a keen eagerness to learn.
- Show proficiency in digital tools including Artificial Intelligence techniques.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach in all work aspects.
