System Interaction Engineer

Job Overview

The Intermediate System Interaction Engineer role involves applying subject matter expertise to address moderately complex business challenges. The engineer works independently within established guidelines to analyze information, contribute to project direction, and offer recommendations based on evaluation of unique situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Research & Development, New Product Introduction, and Manufacturing teams across Supplies and Printer divisions to achieve program objectives.
• Develop and execute system interaction tests aimed at meeting or surpassing customer experience expectations in new programs.
• Partner with the Brand Authentication team to implement security solutions across all programs.
• Work with the Supplies Quality team to enhance product quality and address primary customer concerns.
• Manage post-Measurement Review metrics for NPI before transitioning responsibilities to the Supplies Manufacturing team.
• Continuously refine system interaction test methodologies to better simulate customer usage scenarios and real-world conditions.
• Utilize artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics, and reproducible test frameworks to enhance test coverage, increase efficiency, detect issues earlier, and facilitate knowledge reuse within programs.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically possesses 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good understanding of Thermal Inkjet technology and PDP/TDP manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical engineering leadership with proven abilities in planning, execution, and resolving issues.
• Capability to integrate AI, automation, scripting, and data-driven methods to optimize testing approaches, reduce manual tasks, and enhance engineering decisions.
• Quick learner demonstrating strong analytical competencies.
• Exhibits a growth mindset, curiosity, openness to new ideas, willingness to challenge assumptions, and a commitment to learning from customer feedback for continuous engineering improvement.
• Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
