Landscaping Operative

Overview

At Occu, we manage more than 4,500 residential homes and apartments, with numbers growing steadily. We believe outdoor spaces should match the quality of the homes, so grounds maintenance is a key promise to our residents. We seek a Landscaping Operative dedicated to maintaining the grounds of our Dublin developments, while being a friendly and reliable presence for residents.

What We Offer

• A standard 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties

• Maintenance tasks such as mowing, strimming, edging lawns around paths, flower beds, and walls to keep them pristine.
• Planting seasonal greenery including flowers, shrubs, and grass, alongside routine weeding and general upkeep.
• Proactively identifying maintenance needs and addressing them promptly.
• Operating, maintaining, and performing basic servicing on landscaping machinery.
• Supporting site appearance via power washing, soft washing, and algae treatment on hard surfaces.
• Applying salt and grit to ramps and walkways in icy conditions.
• Cleaning windows and ensuring the grounds remain litter-free.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately two years’ experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance, or relevant horticultural qualifications with a readiness to learn.
• Possession of a full category B driving licence.
• Reliable individual able to work independently with initiative.
• Comfortable engaging socially with residents regularly encountered onsite.
