About the Role

Join Occu, a company managing over 4,500 residential properties, as a Painter tasked with maintaining the visual appeal of their developments. This role involves working primarily in Dublin locations, ensuring that both individual homes and communal areas are impeccably finished and welcoming to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, doors, and woodwork between tenancies to prepare homes for new residents.
• Ensure surfaces are correctly prepared by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and priming to guarantee long-lasting finishes.
• Meet turnaround deadlines to keep homes ready on time and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain and touch up communal areas such as hallways, stairwells, lobbies, bin stores, and external woodwork across developments.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes to ensure a consistent appearance across multiple blocks.
• Identify maintenance needs proactively and address them promptly without waiting for requests.
• Protect work areas with sheeting, keep sites tidy, perform small repairs, and maintain tools and equipment adequately.
• Report safety hazards and always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Candidate Requirements

• Approximately two years of practical experience in painting and decorating or a relevant trade qualification combined with a willingness to learn rapidly.
• Possession of a full, clean category B driving license is essential.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering a neat, professional finish.
• Dependability and the ability to work independently with initiative.
• Comfortable engaging with residents regularly as you will work in occupied buildings and become a familiar face.

Working Conditions and Location

This role involves traveling to various Occu developments across Dublin, using either a company vehicle or your own with mileage reimbursed.
