Land Officer

About the Role

We invite applications for a permanent, flexible, full-time Land Officer position based in Robina, with other locations considered. As part of the Land division, which manages around 60% of Queensland's land, you will play a key role assessing and overseeing state land dealings, coordinating application processes, and providing advice on land management under the Land Act 1994.

The division offers diverse land and property services, including valuations, state land governance, surveying, native title claims, Indigenous land services, vegetation management, place naming, and government land acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor dealings with state land and manage associated applications.
• Conduct research and analyse information to support effective land administration and tenure management statewide.
• Prepare submissions and recommendations relating to land matters.
• Offer timely advice on legislation, policies, and land administration issues.
• Collaborate with government partners, local authorities, industry stakeholders, and community representatives to advance sustainable land management objectives.
• Deliver high-quality service while managing competing priorities and fostering productive relationships.

Requirements and Skills

• Proficiency in interpreting and applying land-related legislation and policies.
• Strong communication skills conducive to stakeholder engagement and advice delivery.
• Analytical ability to research, assess, and make recommendations on land administration matters.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain service excellence.
• Experience working cooperatively with government and community groups.
