Role Overview

Amentum invites applications for a full-time Labourer position based in Alice Springs. This role operates under the Maintenance Supervisor and involves supporting minor construction activities, assisting skilled tradespeople, and carrying out landscaping duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute various tasks to fulfill Vesta contract requirements, including using hand and power tools, trench digging, backfilling, earth compacting/removal, and mixing and spreading concrete.
• Provide assistance to trades such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing personnel.
• Perform lawn care duties encompassing mowing, trimming, edging, and weed control as part of landscaping responsibilities.
• Support other facility and maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional approach to all work activities.
• Report any safety incidents promptly to management.
• Complete assignments within established timelines while complying with company policies.
• Utilize computer systems for tracking and planning work tasks.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by Vesta Management.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a valid HR Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience or exposure to carpentry, electrical, or plumbing trades is advantageous.
• Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Strong adherence to safety standards and proven safe work history.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and professionally.
• Experience with working at heights is desirable.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and completing assigned tasks successfully.
• Ability to analyze challenges and generate practical solutions.

Security Clearance

Employment is contingent on obtaining and maintaining appropriate security clearance and medical clearance for the role.
