Labeling Machine Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labeling Machine Operator to manage the operation and maintenance of labeling equipment in a high-speed bottling environment. The role involves ensuring efficient production with high-quality outputs, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and shut-down of labeling equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Operate and maintain additional machinery as part of multitasking duties.
• Ensure the production of quality products; report any deviations to the production team leader promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines while conducting tasks.
• Minimize unplanned equipment stoppages.
• Accurately document operational parameters and downtime incidents.
• Execute flavor and package changeovers effectively to reduce downtime and resource waste.
• Conduct quality inspections on both the line and equipment using best practices.
• Prepare machinery setup, ensuring availability of production materials.
• Monitor the production line for defective materials and address quality-related issues.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and facilities as required.
• Complete operational checks on machinery regularly.
• Follow SOPs to optimize equipment performance.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to uphold high standards for raw and finished goods.
• Participate in audits governed by Pepsi International (PI).
• Engage in continuous improvement programs such as TPM, Manufacturing & Warehouse enhancements during their implementation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating labeling machines in fast-paced bottling plants.
• Knowledge or certification in production processes and minor equipment maintenance is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English is required; additional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, or Arabic are preferred.
• A diploma in business, supply chain, production, or manufacturing-related fields is preferred.
