About the Role
The Lab Technician will oversee efficient laboratory operations, providing essential analytical support to both customers and ADM manufacturing units. This position plays a critical role in supporting business growth by delivering analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laboratory activities ensuring smooth workflow.
- Strictly implement safety and quality protocols aligned with established methodologies.
- Ensure timely receipt and analysis of sensitive samples.
- Monitor critical control points within laboratory processes.
- Test, approve, and identify incoming raw materials and ingredients.
- Support the Quality Control department by reporting on Quality Assurance status for Raw Materials and Final Products according to quality plans.
- Approve invoices related to laboratory consumables and equipment.
- Analyze data results and provide approvals accordingly.
- Maintain and update calibration records for laboratory Near-Infrared (NIR) instruments, including monitoring control cards and calculating measurement bias.
- Coordinate NIR services with customers by assisting in calibration installation and software configurations.
- Offer technical assistance on wet chemistry controls, calibration bias calculations, and optimal NIR analysis procedures.
- Conduct remote operations adhering to customer requirements and service levels.
- Track and report indicators of NIR activities at customer sites to ensure service quality.
- Train customers on mycotoxin rapid test kits and readers during on-site visits.
- Provide on-site technical support for test usage and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or Food Technology.
- At least 1 year of relevant industrial or laboratory experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of laboratory operational procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards.
- Technical knowledge of Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy technology.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Effective computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management capabilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
