Role Overview

The technician will ensure all ingredients, intermediate, and finished beverage products meet company specifications through rigorous testing procedures. The role requires adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), supporting quality assurance both internally and at suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform physical-chemical, microbiological, and sensory evaluations on ingredients, work in progress, and final beverage bases to confirm compliance with company quality standards
  • Complete approval and release processes for ingredients, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring quality data is accurately entered into SAP
  • Verify all ingredients have necessary documentation such as Certificates of Analysis and pre-shipment approvals before final clearance
  • Collect samples from raw ingredients to finished products, including external storage areas if necessary
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment to ensure precision
  • Conduct laboratory testing to validate equipment and procedures, including capability studies, control charting, method validations, and analyze out-of-specification data to maintain GLP compliance
  • Maintain records for chemicals, glassware, reagents inventory, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemical substances
  • Assist in procuring laboratory supplies as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Chemistry or a food-related discipline
  • At least one year experience in quality control or laboratory operations within food, beverage, or pharmaceutical multinational companies
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is preferred
  • Proven ability in food industry analytical testing techniques
  • Knowledge of SAP is considered beneficial

Additional Information

Location: Tuas, West Region, Singapore, with two-way transportation provided from selected MRT points across Singapore.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Singapore without requiring visa sponsorship.
This is a contract role for 12 months, renewable, with potential for permanent hire.
