Kitchen Stewarding Associate

Position Summary

This role involves operating and maintaining cleaning tools and equipment such as dish washing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The associate will be responsible for thoroughly washing and disinfecting kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Duties also include receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and ensuring that clean items are kept in designated locations.

• Utilize detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in a three-compartment sink to clean dishes effectively.
• Inspect cleaned items, stack them appropriately, and return soiled items for additional cleaning.
• Prepare all racked items by spraying them with hot water to remove food residues.
• Sort, soak, and wash or rewash silverware as necessary.
• Break down dirty bus tubs and maintain cleanliness of trashcans and dumpster areas.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas within the department.
• Dispose of glassware safely into the correct containers and break down cardboard boxes for recycling.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with all company safety and security guidelines, reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or unsafe situations promptly to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Safeguard company assets and communicate professionally with colleagues.
• Support team efforts to achieve shared objectives and uphold quality standards.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving and lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, and stooping as required.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

• No supervisory experience or certifications needed.
