Typical Duties of a Kitchen Porter

• Maintain smooth kitchen operations by cleaning and organizing kitchen tools, equipment, and work areas
• Wash and sterilize pots, pans, dishes, and utensils to prepare them for upcoming use
• Support chefs during busy periods with simple food preparation tasks like peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Handle waste management by disposing rubbish properly, recycling, and ensuring a clean work environment
• Keep storage spaces orderly and stocked for convenient supply access
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, maintaining an organized kitchen stock
• Strictly adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations to uphold a safe and tidy kitchen
