Kitchen Porter

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at our Harmondsworth location. This role values stamina, great attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of £13.26

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either manually or using commercial dishwashers
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, food preparation areas, and countertops sanitized and tidy
• Emptying waste bins and ensuring proper waste disposal
• Assisting with simple food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Helping with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen inventory and supplies
• Maintaining health and safety standards by ensuring a clean, organized kitchen and functional equipment

Qualifications and Skills

• Formal education is not mandatory, though a high school diploma or its equivalent may be beneficial
• Physical endurance to stand for long durations and lift heavy items
• Strong attention to detail and following instructions accurately
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and hygiene standards is advantageous
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team
