Kitchen Porter

About the Role

Cliff House Hotel is seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Kitchen Porter to become an integral member of our energetic kitchen team. This position is essential for ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly through maintaining exceptional cleanliness and providing vital support in various kitchen tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently cleaning all back-of-house areas including plate wash, pot wash, canteen, still room, kitchen, and refrigerators.
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of stairs and outside rubbish areas at all times.
• Properly compacting and storing rubbish, and ensuring the bottle bin is emptied on a daily basis.
• Adhering to cleaning schedules and completing assigned tasks to meet set quality standards.
• Participating in deep-cleaning activities as needed, with all deep cleaning verified and approved by the designated Head of Department.
• Supporting the kitchen staff with general duties to facilitate smooth kitchen functioning.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Good attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Capability to work efficiently under fast-paced conditions.
• Possession of a full clean driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

Prior experience in kitchen or food service roles is beneficial but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
