Kitchen Porter

About the Role

Talbot Hotel Midleton, a member of the Talbot Collection, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will be cooperative, adaptable, and ready to work mid-week and weekend shifts, with hours reaching up to 39 per week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen's hygiene to an acceptable standard at all times.
• Manage cleanliness and organization in the following areas: pot wash, pot and pan storage, kitchen and larder spaces, rubbish skip areas, wash-up zones, and staff areas.
• Ensure all crockery is cleaned and readily accessible for respective departments as needed.
• Provide assistance to chefs with any required tasks.
• Contribute positively as a collaborative team member.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar hotel kitchen porter role is preferable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Work well within a team environment.
• Capable of working independently and using own initiative.
• Remain composed and efficient under pressure.
• Availability to work midweek and weekend shifts.
