We prioritize our employees' growth, offering development opportunities and a supportive environment led by inspiring leaders. Our workplace culture is collaborative, connected, and nurturing.

Role Overview

As a Key Account Executive, you will oversee the management of promotional programs, maintaining accurate trade promotion systems, and managing the Foodstuffs customer portals across both North and South Islands. Your role involves supporting the Account Manager with demand forecasting, trade spend evaluations, and promotional assistance.

You will analyze data from industry sources like NielsenIQ and dunnhumby to identify opportunities to optimize promotions, presenting strategic recommendations. Handling customer claims efficiently and resolving discrepancies promptly is essential. Collaborating closely with marketing, category, field sales, and supply chain teams will help ensure smooth account plan execution and precise forecasting. Building and nurturing strong customer and stakeholder relationships through effective communication is key.

Candidate Profile

  • Recent graduate holding a business-related degree, with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Preferably experienced in the New Zealand FMCG sector in a support role managing Foodstuffs accounts; field sales exposure is beneficial.
  • Experience in confectionery and/or biscuit product categories, given the complexity and innovation in our business marketing activations.
  • Excellent communication skills with adaptability in style.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration and build effective relationships.
  • Strong skills in time management, planning, and organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability using data tools such as NielsenIQ, Quantium, or dunnhumby.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, experienced with trade promotions systems, and familiar with Power BI.

Work Environment and Benefits

This role is a permanent full-time position based at our head office in Avondale, Auckland, involving 40 working hours per week. We value work-life balance and provide workplace flexibility. Our supportive and enjoyable office environment encourages connection among colleagues.

The benefits package includes a competitive salary, performance-linked incentives up to 200%, top-tier superannuation, medical and life insurance, extensive parental leave, free onsite physiotherapy services, free parking, and access to snacks.

We are committed to local community involvement, supporting initiatives like The Kindness Collective and offering employees meaningful volunteer opportunities.
