Job description
Role Overview
As a Junior Technician in Fleet at Emirates Flight Catering, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, following guidance from supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Duties
- Execute all planned and unplanned maintenance activities and repairs under supervisor oversight efficiently.
- Perform thorough inspections and document all significant readings using checklists.
- Properly handle tools and manage consumable resources to optimize usage.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and cleanliness throughout the job before, during, and after operations.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding job progress and handover any pending tasks at shift end.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently during maintenance tasks.
- Adhere strictly to the Quality Policy and System compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards, following department work procedures aligned with EKFC’s quality benchmarks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School Certificate or equivalent is mandatory.
- ITI/ITC certification or equivalent vocational training preferred, along with trade test certification.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in a similar role, particularly within ground support equipment workshops or vehicle maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge base and experience in mechanical systems, auto-electricity, vehicle instrumentation, automobile air conditioning, refrigeration systems, tire maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in understanding both written and spoken English.
- Possess technical and analytical capabilities.
- First Aid, safety, and basic firefighting training is advantageous.
