Job description
About EdgeComply
EdgeComply assists apparel brands in ensuring their products meet various compliance regulations when launching in new markets. These regulations cover chemicals, product safety, environmental standards, labeling, and import requirements. The company helps brands determine applicable rules, necessary actions, and maintains compliance to avoid fines, recalls, shipment delays, and legal risks. The primary clients are product managers at UK and North American apparel brands with 10-500 employees, generally lacking in-house compliance expertise.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Sales Development Representative based in London to join our team. You will primarily engage in outbound calling, initiating conversations with apparel brands and booking qualified meetings for the closing sales team. The role focuses heavily on phone outreach, using evolving scripts and strategies developed in close collaboration with the Founder. This position offers a fast-paced environment to refine sales skills and contribute to building the company's sales processes, with clear progression paths toward Senior SDR and Account Executive roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Make approximately 150 outbound calls daily to target apparel brands using provided scripts and power-dialing tools.
- Qualify prospects and arrange meetings for the closers, ensuring attendance.
- Follow up on leads and no-shows through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to maintain capture of opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough CRM records including call notes and follow-up tasks.
- Collaborate directly with the Founder to review call performance and continuously improve outreach strategies.
- Participate in biweekly webinars, delivering short presentations to enhance brand recognition.
Performance Metrics
- Number of qualified meetings booked – meetings where companies meet criteria, show genuine interest, and attend.
- Revenue generated from meetings booked.
Candidate Profile
- Resilient and persistent, handling rejection without discouragement.
- Receptive to feedback and demonstrates steady improvement.
- Disciplined in consistently meeting call volume targets.
- Warm, clear communicator who builds rapport quickly on phone.
- Curious and attentive listener focused on understanding client challenges.
- Proficient in professional spoken and written English.
- No prior sales or compliance experience required; all necessary training will be provided.
Logistics
- Located in London, working primarily from our Design District office near North Greenwich station (minimum 4 days per week).
- Easy access from Waterloo (12 min) and Stratford (8 min).
- Some flexibility for remote work occasionally.
Compensation and Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary of £30,000 per year.
- Tiered bonus scheme for qualified meetings booked: £40 per meeting for the first 10, £50 for 11-20, £60 for 21-30, and £75 for 31+ meetings monthly.
- Additional 0.5% commission on net payments generated from your booked meetings.
- On-target earnings between £40,000 and £45,000 with no earnings cap.
- Free lunches provided at the office (approximate value £1,000/year).
- Gym membership reimbursed up to £70 monthly.
- Annual education allowance of £350 for courses, training, or books.
- Paid day off on your birthday.
- Clear career advancement opportunities within sales roles.
- Flexible work-from-home day each week.
