Junior Quality Engineer

Role Overview

The Junior Quality Engineer will support software quality assurance efforts by performing specified testing tasks, identifying defects, and ensuring that solutions delivered align with documented functional and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out functional, regression, integration, and user interface tests within the team.
• Create and update test cases, scenarios, and relevant documentation.
• Test web and mobile applications across different browsers and on iOS and Android devices, including various OS versions.
• Detect, log, and track issues until they are addressed.
• Confirm issue resolutions and conduct regression testing after system updates.
• Assist with testing through multiple environments and release phases.
• Prepare test data and keep records of test evidence for audit and change management purposes.
• Conduct thorough testing of payment processes including transactions and reconciliation workflows.
• Participate in building automated test suites under mentorship from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify problems and expected functionality.
• Adhere to established QA protocols, procedures, and testing techniques.
• Provide updates on testing status, report defects, and highlight observations related to quality within the team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Between zero and two years of professional experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of software testing principles and the defect management lifecycle.
