React Native Developer

Overview

Tawantech is looking for a highly experienced React Native Developer to join its tech team in Riyadh. The role supports the creation and maintenance of advanced cross-platform mobile applications for digital banking and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient React Native mobile apps ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Integrate with banking services including account details, onboarding, authentication, fund transfers, payments, beneficiary management, transaction history, card services, notifications, and other digital banking functionalities.
• Secure handling of sensitive financial and customer data complying with banking security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with enterprise integration systems like API gateways, middleware, and backend platforms as needed.
• Implement robust security measures such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, multi-factor, and biometric authentication; safeguard data in transit and at rest; adopt secure coding practices and mobile security controls.
• Consume and integrate REST APIs effectively with proper handling of authentication, error cases, timeouts, retries, and validation.
• Coordinate with backend developers, architects, and analysts to resolve integration challenges and troubleshoot issues across environments.
• Optimize app performance by addressing responsiveness, memory consumption, startup speed, rendering, state management, API requests, animations, and crash monitoring.
• Understand native iOS and Android platforms, troubleshoot native build/runtime problems, and develop native modules where required using tools like Android Studio, Xcode, Gradle, Cocoapods.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and component tests using tools such as Jest, Detox, and React Native Testing Library; participate in thorough QA testing cycles.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, deployment; participate in release management for Play Store and App Store using tools like Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Fastlane.
• Provide ongoing production support by investigating incidents, performing root cause analysis, monitoring errors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for resolution.

Requirements

• At least 5 years' professional software/mobile development experience with minimum 5 years focused in React Native development creating enterprise-quality iOS and Android applications.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Redux/Redux Toolkit, and mobile app architecture.
• Familiarity with secure mobile app development techniques and best practices for banking or other regulated sectors.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including backend, QA, DevOps, Security, Business Analysis, and Architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Engineering or an equivalent relevant technical degree.
• Additional professional certifications are a plus.
• Preferred experience with React Navigation, React Native Reanimated, Firebase services (push notifications, analytics, crash reporting), biometric authentication, secure storage methods (Keychain/Keystore), deep linking, offline sync, WebSockets, and native Android/iOS development with Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C.
• Knowledge of automated mobile deployment (Fastlane), and containerization or microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Prior work experience in banking, fintech, payments, digital or retail banking environments highly valued.

Additional Information

The role demands adherence to strict security standards and compliance mandates due to the highly regulated nature of financial services. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite in Riyadh and collaborate intensely with multiple internal teams.
