Junior Purchase Engineer

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Junior Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing mechanical materials, spare parts, and equipment according to project and operational needs. This includes obtaining and comparing quotations to prepare accurate purchase orders. Collaboration with vendors is critical to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards. The engineer will negotiate terms such as price, payment conditions, and delivery timelines while keeping detailed records of suppliers and procurement processes.

Coordination with various internal departments including engineering, production, stores, and quality assurance is a key part of this role to verify that all procured materials match technical specifications and drawings. Managing purchase orders until closure and resolving any supply chain issues will be routine duties. The position also involves maintaining proper inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and ensuring strict adherence to company procurement policies.

Candidate Profile and Additional Information

Candidates should have a mechanical engineering background with between zero to three years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is mandatory. Candidates are expected to manage their own accommodation, transportation, and food expenses.
