Junior Front-End Developer (Remote)

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Front-End Developer to join our remote team. This entry-level role involves assisting in the development, upkeep, and enhancement of responsive websites and web applications. Candidates with foundational knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript who enjoy problem-solving and creating accessible, user-friendly digital experiences are encouraged to apply. Prior professional experience is not mandatory; skills can be demonstrated through personal projects, coursework, bootcamps, internships, or self-study. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web pages and user interfaces using clean, organized code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Translate approved designs or mockups into functional web pages and modify existing website structures.
• Contribute to building reusable front-end components and ensure consistent display across various screen sizes.
• Adhere to coding standards and participate in code reviews incorporating feedback.
• Update website content, layouts, links, forms, and UI elements, while assisting in the identification and resolution of basic front-end issues.
• Perform testing of web pages before deployment, check for broken links, visual or usability inconsistencies, and document updates and technical changes.
• Assist in creating interfaces compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile devices following responsive design principles and brand guidelines.
• Support web accessibility best practices and collaborate with designers and team members to improve navigation and usability.
• Conduct cross-browser and device testing, troubleshoot layout and styling problems using developer tools, document bugs, and verify fixes before completion.
• Apply Git or similar version-control systems for development tasks, manage project files and code, follow deployment workflows, update task tracking systems, and participate in virtual meetings and training sessions.
• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and project coordinators, communicate progress or obstacles clearly, ask clarifying questions, and engage actively in remote team discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Foundational understanding of JavaScript.
• Awareness of responsive web design and common web browsers, including developer tools.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capability, ability to follow technical documentation, and a willingness to learn new development technologies.
• Effective communication skills and capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
