Junior Front-End Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-conscious Junior Front-End Developer to join our remote team. This entry-level role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing responsive websites and web applications. Ideal applicants possess fundamental skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enjoy problem-solving, and aim to build clean, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences.

Prior professional experience is optional; skills demonstrated via coursework, personal projects, coding bootcamps, internships, freelance work, or self-learning are welcomed. Comprehensive training, technical mentorship, and continuous support will be provided.

This role suits recent graduates, bootcamp completers, self-taught developers, career changers, or anyone aspiring to their initial professional web development position.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update responsive web pages and user interfaces adhering to approved designs.
• Write well-structured HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code following company standards.
• Modify existing website elements and layouts to improve functionality.
• Contribute to reusable front-end component development.
• Assure correct display across various screen sizes and devices.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain website content, links, forms, and interface elements.
• Identify and resolve basic front-end issues, testing changes before deployment.
• Document code changes and updates properly.
• Assist with improving navigation, usability, and consistent design adherence.
• Test and debug web pages across supported browsers and devices, utilizing browser developer tools.
• Use Git or similar version control systems to manage code and track progress.
• Communicate effectively within a remote team and participate in virtual meetings and trainings.

Required Qualifications

• Basic proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3 and foundational knowledge of JavaScript.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and common web browsers.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace.

A college degree is not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates relevant fundamental skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with Git and GitHub or similar version control platforms.
• Knowledge of CSS Flexbox, Grid, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, npm, TypeScript, Figma, web accessibility, SEO basics, browser debugging, command-line tools, and agile workflows is advantageous.
