Junior Estimator

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Estimator to join a respected construction firm located in Melbourne's inner western suburbs. Initially, your primary task will involve preparing precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and assisting with the tender process. As you establish credibility within the team and demonstrate your capabilities, you will be entrusted with broader responsibilities in estimation, tender preparation, and project analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate BOQs.
• Analyze project plans, drawings, and related documentation.
• Assist in cost planning and detailed estimating processes.
• Support the preparation and submission of tenders.
• Gather and evaluate pricing information from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify any gaps in scope, potential risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the construction and estimating teams.
• Contribute to at least one tender per team monthly.
• Develop strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
