Junior Engineer

Job Overview

The Junior Engineer will assist Senior Engineers with tasks related to new connections, meter management, meter reading (MR/BD), REC/PDC processes at the field and sub-division level, ensuring efficient daily operational flow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct field verifications, carry out site surveys, and perform technical inspections for new connections, meter-related complaints, and disconnections as assigned.
• Provide supervisory support to Technicians, Helpers, and Meter Readers during task execution on the ground.
• Compile and update daily and weekly progress reports along with MIS trackers pertinent to the designated functions.
• Address customer complaints encountered on site, escalating unresolved matters to the Senior Engineer.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety protocols during field operations including meter installations, service connections, and disconnections.
• Assist with stock/material requisition and inventory reconciliation in collaboration with the Stock Keeper for field-related activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fundamental technical understanding of low-tension (LT) electrical distribution systems and related metering equipment.
• Capability to oversee and supervise field personnel effectively.
• Competent in generating reports and managing documentation.
• Strong communication abilities and aptitude for handling customer interactions.
• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel for field assignments.
