Join a Data Centre Migration initiative for a banking client as an experienced Java Developer bringing a strong foundation in DevOps and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support Java applications and microservices architectures.
• Architect and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Apply security standards rigorously throughout the software development lifecycle and deployment stages.
• Effectively diagnose and rectify issues across development, testing, and live production environments.
• Work closely with software engineers, quality assurance specialists, and product teams to ensure delivery of optimal solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with evolving best practices and industry developments in Java programming and DevOps methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in backend Java development, including expertise in Microservices, Spring Boot framework, Java Collections, low latency programming, multithreading, and concurrency handling.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and DevOps concepts.
• Experience with deployment workflows and executing code releases onto servers.
• Knowledge of server connectivity and administration.
• Basic familiarity with managing system resources such as RAM and CPU allocation.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Podman.
• Competence in pipeline creation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience within the banking sector.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading system development.
