Java Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems to design, develop, and maintain Cash Management applications within the banking sector.

Core Responsibilities

• Enhance and build Cash Management and reporting software.
• Ensure application stability and performance while providing support.
• Lead efforts in solution architecture, feature estimation, and implementation.
• Apply Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development methodologies to create high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to align on requirements.
• Contribute actively within Agile and cross-functional development teams.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, promoting improvements.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and assist Technical Leads.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Between 7 and 9 years of solid Java/J2EE hands-on development experience.
• In-depth expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, and microservices architecture.
• Practical experience working with Kafka, Apache Spark, and Flink.
• Hands-on skills with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes, along with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, HBase, Hadoop Distributed File System, and MongoDB.
• Basic understanding of cash management or banking domains.
• Previous experience in financial services industry.
• Exposure to solution design, UML modeling, and application migration projects.
• Proven ability to mentor developers and provide technical guidance.
