Java Software Developer

Project Overview

This role involves supporting the development and enhancement of enterprise applications for a financial services project, focusing on backend microservices, frontend interfaces, API development, system integration, and cloud-native deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Create and improve scalable Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Build responsive frontend interfaces leveraging Angular and React technologies.
• Employ HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript for frontend development tasks.
• Implement and manage Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture when needed.
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend components and backend Microservices/APIs.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment processes.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Git tools.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven systems and asynchronous communication flows.
• Manage database operations across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.
• Deploy and support applications within AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, perform troubleshooting, and provide production support.
• Engage actively in Agile methodologies, including code reviews and technical discussions to promote continuous improvement.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework.
• Strong background in Microservices architecture and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience working with Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Solid understanding of enterprise application development life cycles and software development methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with React framework.
• Competency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Knowledge or experience with Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture.
• Exposure to Node.js frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Redux, or Vue.js technologies.
• Prior experience in financial services or banking sector applications.
• Understanding of cloud-native application design and DevOps principles.

Additional Information

English language proficiency at C1 advanced level is required for this position.
