Java Developer

Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Java Developer to lead project delivery and actively design and implement high-quality technical solutions tailored for latency-sensitive trading algorithms. This role demands collaboration with stakeholders to translate complex business and regulatory needs into innovative front-office trading applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects and oversee delivery while remaining hands-on in designing and implementing robust technical solutions for trading algorithms requiring low latency.
• Develop, maintain, and support front-office trading applications working closely with business users to capture and implement complex business and compliance requirements.
• Employ comprehensive software engineering approaches to ensure solutions meet security, reliability, quality, and compliance criteria for both functional and non-functional aspects.
• Collaborate globally to enhance and innovate quoting applications; integrate observability, monitor production status, handle incident resolution, and identify and resolve root causes of risks and issues.
• Share expertise by mentoring junior team members, promoting a collaborative engineering culture and contributing to internal technical communities.

Team Environment

The role fits within an agile framework where teams (crews) work aligned to broader products meeting client demands. You will be part of a global development team interfacing directly with front office functions to build and support automated electronic trading systems.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience working in front office environments, comfortable engaging directly with business stakeholders.
• A minimum of 8 years in similar roles or domains, specifically involving real-time trading platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Java development with a keen willingness to learn emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent communication capabilities and client relationship skills.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Proven multitasking abilities and adaptability to rapidly evolving business requirements.
