Java Developer with Kafka Expertise

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Java developer with solid experience in Kafka to join our team in Singapore. This role involves building and integrating scalable distributed systems using modern Java technologies and messaging platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Core Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
• Design and implement microservices architectures utilizing Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data frameworks.
• Work hands-on with Apache Kafka components including producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams for real-time data processing.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs and ensure seamless distributed system integration.
• Perform SQL database development and design with Oracle and PostgreSQL systems.
• Utilize Git for version control and manage builds with Maven or Gradle.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Operate within Linux or Unix environments effectively.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Java development.
• Sound knowledge of Core Java and experience with modern releases (8 through 17).
• Expert understanding of Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot and microservices.
• Proficiency with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture implementation.
• Experience with REST API development and distributed system integration.
• Strong command over SQL and database design principles using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix OS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
