Job Location and Experience
Position based in Dubai requiring 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. Immediate joining is preferred.
Role Overview
We are searching for a Backend Developer with expertise in Java (version 21 or above), Spring Boot, and Quarkus to design, build, and improve highly efficient, scalable, and secure backend systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and maintain scalable microservices utilizing Spring Boot and Quarkus frameworks.
- Implement and manage Keycloak for handling authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
- Design, optimize, and efficiently query SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Develop secure stateless APIs leveraging JWT-based authentication protocols.
- Conduct troubleshooting and determine root causes of production incidents.
- Enhance application performance through database tuning, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and profiling techniques.
- Work closely with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering teams to support scalable deployments on Openshift platforms.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code, including unit and integration tests.
- Engage in code reviews and participate in architecture and design discussions.
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in Java, specifically versions 17 and above, ideally 21+.
- Proficient with Spring Boot and Quarkus frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Keycloak along with authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, API gateways, and distributed system design.
- Proven expertise in debugging, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis on complex issues.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization including database indexing, JVM tuning, asynchronous processing, and caching mechanisms.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience in Reactive Programming paradigms.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and OpenTelemetry.
- Background in developing high-throughput, low-latency enterprise systems.
