Role Overview

Join our team and contribute to maintaining the clean, safe, and inviting store environment that Farm Boy is known for. Your role involves detailed cleaning tasks, supporting customers and team members, and ensuring all shared spaces meet our quality expectations. Your efforts help promote a welcoming atmosphere during every customer's visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and helpful customer interactions supporting Farm Boy’s fresh shopping experience.
• Greet and assist customers following established service standards.
• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting to keep work and storage areas tidy and safe.
• Maintain cleanliness of communal spaces including eating areas, washrooms, and locker rooms.
• Support inventory management by tracking and assisting with purchasing store supplies when required.
• Adhere strictly to corporate policies focused on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and correct use of equipment.
• Execute opening and closing procedures as assigned and collaborate with team members to support store operations.
• Occasionally undertake additional tasks to enhance overall store functionality.

Qualifications and Skills

• A genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Prior janitorial or cleaning experience in a food retail setting is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative, team-focused mindset.
• Comfort working in a busy environment involving physical activity such as standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads, repetitive tasks, exposure to noise and dust, and potentially cooler conditions.
• Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an added benefit.
