Role Overview

As a Janitor, you will contribute to Farm Boy's reputation for cleanliness and safety by maintaining a welcoming shopping atmosphere. Your role supports both customers and colleagues by keeping common areas pristine and ensuring positive store experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm and proactive customer service following Farm Boy's fresh shopping standards.
• Assist customers by greeting and helping them in line with company service principles.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and tidying storage and work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in shared spaces including breakrooms, washrooms, and locker rooms.
• Support inventory monitoring and aid in purchasing store supplies when requested.
• Adhere strictly to corporate policies, emphasizing health, food safety, and proper equipment usage.
• Participate in daily opening and closing duties and aid team members as necessary.
• Occasionally take on extra tasks to enhance overall store operations.

Candidate Qualifications

• Passion for delivering outstanding and engaging customer interactions.
• Prior janitorial or cleaning experience in a food retail setting is advantageous.
• Capable of working independently with attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Team-oriented mindset with effective communication and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, physically demanding environments involving standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, repetitive motions, and using protective gear; able to work in variable conditions including cold temperatures.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
