Role Overview

The Janitor is responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of specific areas within one or multiple client locations. Job tasks vary depending on client requirements, demanding flexibility and adaptability in execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to avoid damage to surfaces and property
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entry points
• Dispose of waste properly, including operating compactors where needed
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors with suitable products and tools
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet shampooing and extractions
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies regularly
• Adhere to an established housekeeping timetable
• Operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as required
• Carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors or outlined in service agreements

Mandatory Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months' experience in janitorial functions
• Training will be provided on site
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to understand and implement instructions proficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services
• Knowledge of custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards
• Understanding of floor maintenance techniques such as buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or maintenance of facilities
