Role Overview

The Janitor will be responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within a building or across multiple client locations. Since job tasks vary, flexibility is essential in fulfilling duties as per each client’s requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove and empty all waste containers, including disposing of garbage and waste paper to appropriate areas; clean containers by damp wiping.
• Clean and empty ashtrays; monitor and replenish sand urn supplies as needed.
• Dust picture frames, charts, graphs, and other wall decorations.
• Damp dust ceiling and air conditioning diffusers, partitions, registers, and other ventilation grilles.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted floors in workplace areas, lobbies, and hallways.
• Dust and clean office furnishings, filing cabinets, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces by hand.
• Wipe and polish metal hardware and decorative bright elements.
• Clean tile floors by appropriate methods as required.
• Damp wipe and polish glass furnishings.
• Clean interior and exterior glass panels on entry doors.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces like doors, door frames, light switch surroundings, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Sanitize and wash all water coolers.
• Sweep private stairways and vacuum if carpeted.
• Sweep and mop all building floors.
• Clean restrooms thoroughly, sanitize, and replenish supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and follow both written and spoken instructions effectively.
• At least six months of prior experience in a janitorial or similar cleaning position.
